Bournes gets moving with Astec

Bournes, one of the South East’s most successful logistics and removal companies, has witnessed many changes in its 140 years of operation. The current managing director, Wesley Bourne, is the fifth generation of his family to run the company.

• A dedicated Ethernet leased line to support the increased reliance on connectivity for cloud software systems, satellite office connectivity and telecoms.

• A Hyper-V server platform, which provides virtualised environments for separate business operations and maximises the investment in hardware.

• Upgrading and optimising users across the five satellite sites to Microsoft Exchange Online Services.

Bournes uses Astec’s managed services and support package PromisePlus to provide a seamless blend between the Astec support team and Bournes’ operations. Astec provide both pro-active monitoring and management of the systems and on demand support for users when needed.
